| University of Memphis Installs BellSouth TNII SmartRing

The University of Memphis deployed a BellSouth OC12 SmartRing in the Memphis area utilizing the recently added service on the TNII contract. This has resulted in a $113K a year savings to the University budget. The technology allows the University to ride its voice and data circuits on the same optical ring which resulted in lower transport costs.
This strategic move also allows the voice and data services to now have redundant routing capability in the event of a disaster. More... |
